The scriptures read are Exodus 40, Psalm 30 and Mark 3.
Exodus 40. God gives the go-ahead for Moses to set up the tabernacle, get Aaron and sons ordained and basically open things for business. God's glory (cloud by day, pillar of fire by night) fills the tabernacle when everyone is camped. When the cloud ascends, the people march.
In a little over a month you have completed 3 books of the Bible! Not so hard, is it?
Psalm 30. A psalm of thanksgiving for God saving David from...enemies? Illness, perhaps? Sounds like he almost died. "O Lord, my God, I cried out to you and you healed me." Lots of memorable verses: vv 6, 10, and 12 for instance. Makes you want to rejoice.
Mark 3. The Pharisees set a trap for Jesus: a man with a crippled hand sitting up front in the synagogue where Jesus can't miss him. Jesus teaches them that when God prohibited work on the Sabbath, he didn't mean stop doing good!
Jesus selects the Twelve and refutes the idea that he's using Satan to cast out evil spirits. Love the way Peterson phrases the unforgivable sin: "...You are repudiating the very One who forgives, sawing off the branch on which you're sitting, severing by your own perversity all connection with the One who forgives."
Jesus says his real family is the group of people who obey God's will. How did Mary and his brothers feel about that?
